When you hear the word "Zombie" the first thing which comes to mind is an awful, roaring, rotting creature, a creepy living dead, whose main prey is nothing less than the living brain. This is an image of a zombie, injected into consumer society by Hollywood horror movies (the first - White Zombie (1932), fantasy books ( S. King "Cell"), music videos (M. Jackson's "Thriller") and video games (most recent - Zomboid, Zombi U, the Walking Dead, etc.). In time, Zombie image became really popular at dress-code parties or carnivals. Is it just a simple fiction after all? In Haiti it is still believed that voodoo shamans are able to transform any of us into thoughless being - word of mouth carries the stories about slaves who refused to work, turned into zombies...
